Frequently asked questions

How the tools work, what the labels mean, and how we handle affiliate links and privacy.

Using the site

What does “Fits listed limit” mean?

Every side of the bag’s listed size is within the airline’s stated limit with room to spare, and our sources for that airline agree. It is a comparison of numbers, not a guarantee that a gate agent will accept the bag.

What does “Check first” mean?

The bag fits on paper, but something is uncertain: the margin is thin, the bag is soft or expandable, or the sources for the airline do not fully agree. Verify with the airline before you rely on it.

Why do some bags say “No size data”?

We only record a size when we are reasonably confident of the manufacturer’s figure. When we are not, we say so instead of guessing.

Why are there no prices or star ratings?

Prices and ratings change constantly and we have no compliant live data source. Showing stale numbers would mislead you, so we leave them out. The Amazon.ca page shows the current price.

Affiliate links

Do you earn money from these links?

Yes. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy after clicking a product button, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See the affiliate disclosure.

Where do the Amazon buttons lead?

Each button opens a specific product page on Amazon.ca in a new tab.

Does the commission affect what you recommend?

No. Brands cannot pay for placement, and we describe products by their specifications.

Airlines and rules

Are the airline limits official?

They are compiled from published guidance and cross-checked. The allowance shown in your current booking is the final authority, so verify it before you travel.

Why do sources disagree on some airlines?

Airlines change rules, and many blogs lag behind. We show a confidence mark so you can see where we are less sure.

Do wheels and handles count in the size?

On most airlines, yes. Measure the whole packed bag. See our guide on how to measure a carry-on.
